Shenoa Sanctuary   Philo, CA  

A retreat center sought to create a sacred space that would accommodate a wide variety of spiritual traditions, including sacred dance and work for groups of widely varying sizes as well.

By nesting concentric rings, at raising levels, around a circular cupola, and opening major windows in the straw bale walls in alcoves at the cardinal points, a very diversified space was created within a modest footprint.
